In April of 2004, we had the opportunity to visit Puerto Rico and immediately fell in love with the island, the people, and all the natural beauty. It didn't take long to convince ourselves that this is where we wanted to be. Within three months we were saying goodbye to our friends, co-workers, and family in California and heading to Puerto Rico.
Upon our arrival to the island we immediately fell in love with the Villa Sevilla property. Although it was in a terrible state of disrepair and neglect we immediately saw the beauty and potential of this property. We knew with nurturing and TLC this majestic property on the hill could once again become the peaceful oasis it was once meant to be.
We have since completely rebuilt and redesigned La Casita, remodeled Bella Vista Chalet, groomed the property, added walking trails and uncovered, nurtured, and added to the many beautiful plants, orchids, trees, and fruits of this property. We completed a total remodel of the pool and pool area in 2006 -We wanted the pool to blend in to the natural environment and provide a relaxing area for our guests to enjoy the breathtaking ocean and mountain views. We designed the new paths and decking to resemble natural flagstone and the pool to resemble a soothing lagoon tucked into the natural boulders and tropical plants.
It is now the fall of 2007 and this past year has brought us many new friends and even some new adventures. Benjamin Lopez a local film producer chose Bella Vista Chalet as the perfect house and property to film scenes for his new upcoming movie Mi Verano Con Amanda (My summer with Amanda). It is sure to be a very funny film so stay tuned for clips and more information.
Since arriving to Puerto Rico in August of 2004 we have devoted ourselves to improving the property, and establishing Villa Sevilla as a peaceful sanctuary for friends, families, and couples visiting the island. Our guests comfort and enjoyment are always our highest priority.
We want our guest to feel like they will always have a "home" here in Puerto Rico and we will strive to continually maintain our high standards in providing our guests with the best possible vacation experience.
In closing we just want to thank all of our guests for sharing a small part of their lives with us here at Villa Sevilla. We also want to offer special thanks to all of our guests who have taken the time to write the many reviews and sharing their experiences of Puerto Rico and Villa Sevilla. We feel blessed to have met so many wonderful new friends and want to thank you for helping us to succeed.
